Amalfi Coast, Italy

We took a bus from Naples to the Amalfi Coast. The bus would stop at some of the seaside cities for a time, for people to hop off and have a walk around, look at souvenirs and so on, before going again to the next little city. The streets were super narrow and they followed the curve of the mountainside with hairpin-like turns.

It was so narrow that sometimes, it was essentially a one-lane road. The tour bus driver would just honk his horn before going around a corner, in case a little scooter was coming around the other side. We even got stuck at one part, where someone had inconsiderately parked their van by the side of the road and we couldn’t get by. Another turn, we squeezed by another tour bus with what looked like just a couple inches to spare. It was the craziest ride of my life and I loved every minute of it.

The coastal towns were so picturesque. I wish I had more photos from this place, it was amazing and possibly one of my favorite parts of the trip. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to in the future.
